Chief Executive Officer
Having joined the company in 1995 and worked her way up through the business, Jen was appointed CEO in 2017. She has been instrumental in growing the organisation, joining the Citation Group in 2017 and acquiring a like-minded business to enhance EPM's services. Jen brings considerable experience of working within the education sector, having worked with some of the UK’s largest MATs. She has supported academy leaders and CEOs with complex staffing issues and worked with the DfE on some of the first MAT conversion projects.
Chief Operating Officer
Andy has over 25 years’ experience running operational teams and delivering technology-enabled change across a wide range of sectors. He most recently ran a 2-year transformation programme at Azets, a top-10 UK accounting firm, which consolidated over 70 businesses and created a platform for further growth. Andy has held numerous director-level positions, including IT Operations Director, MD and divisional Chief Information Officer.

Lisa was appointed CFO in 2019, bringing vast experience from a number of sectors including communications, legal, engineering and construction. She has significant experience in financial planning, the management of financial risks, and financial reporting. She has supported EPM and previous employers through significant growth plans and acquisitions.
Director of HR
Having worked in the education sector since 1995, Alex provides strategic leadership to our HR advisory, consultancy and contracts administration teams. She manages relationships with some of our largest MAT clients, supporting CEOs and academy leaders with HR solutions including complex staffing issues, TUPE transfers, harmonisation, and complex case management through to employment tribunal preparation. Alex also has significant experience supporting trusts with negotiating changes to terms and conditions.
Director of Leadership, MAT Development & Consultancy
Rachel is the National Leader of Governance with the NGA and has over 25 years of public sector educational experience. Having worked for the Department for Education and within a Northeast local authority, she has extensive knowledge in a range of areas spanning policy development, school place planning, capital asset management, and education development issues. She has led the conversion process of over 100 schools, supported the development of multi-academy trusts, and been part of the project board for establishing two free schools. While she continues to lead school development and growth, she is committed to supporting school leaders to achieve the very best for their establishments.
Director of Payroll & Pensions
Amy has worked in education payroll since 2009. She has been involved in numerous projects to support EPM’s strategic growth, enabling us to continually adapt to the evolving landscape and to ensure statutory compliance with the HMRC and pension reforms. She has been influential in the development of our IT system for payroll, ensuring it can efficiently service the needs of our customers. This includes the move to ePayslips, which offers enhanced customer reporting, system automation and improvements.
Director of People
Dana leads the people & culture agenda at EPM. Having worked in HR since 1998, she has built up a wealth of experience in a number of HR, reward, and learning & development roles, spanning telecommunications, travel, foods & beverages, and insurance. She has led teams across the UK, Ireland, and Western and Eastern Europe. She has a deep interest in talent and development, has launched global wellbeing programmes and coaching programmes, and has led on senior leadership development. She is a certified practitioner in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, SHL and Heartstyles.

Having joined the company in 2006, Georgie has extensive HR experience and specialises in academies and MATs. She is skilled in advising on large-scale change programmes, TUPE transfers and complex changes to terms and conditions. She develops and delivers training and development programmes for HR leaders in the education sector. Georgie has strong experience working with trades unions in negotiating changes to employment policies.
Head of Operations, HR Transactional
Giulia has wide-ranging experience in HR provision for education, having joined EPM in 2003. She manages our senior HR admin team and the schools contracts team, and leads on key client accounts. Giulia brings a pragmatic approach to complex HR issues and is skilled at bringing them to a successful resolution.
Head of Advisory
Eve manages our internal HR Advisory Team, having joined EPM in 2011. She has extensive experience of HR in the education sector and is particularly skilled with complex issues, trust-wide policy development with complex negotiations. She also develops and delivers training and development programmes for HR leaders in the education sector.
Head of Customer Service
Tracey joined EPM in 2011, and heads up our Customer Service Team. She works closely with all of our departments to ensure a high-quality customer experience from the moment each client joins us. Tracey directs and manages all activities relating to the delivery of effective customer service, and liaises with leaders across the organisation to ensure that standards and customer satisfaction are maintained.
Director of Commercial
Brett heads up our commercial team, whose key focus is to retain and add value to clients and generate revenues which lead to sustainable growth. Having started his career as a secondary school teacher, Brett understands firsthand the challenges which schools face. He specialises in procurement and has worked with various schools to develop a clear procurement strategy. He has been instrumental in developing key relationships with several of the frameworks in which we participate, including CPC, Everything FM, and Churchmarketplace.
Head of Operations, Payroll Services
Matt built up extensive payroll and HR experience within a bureau/third-party setting. He specialises in end-to-end payroll, operational leadership, client engagement, project management and budget analysis. He is a member of our operational and project board, oversees the operational activities of the payroll department, and implements best practices and new technologies.
Head of Payroll & Pensions Optimisation
Bev joined EPM in 2002, bringing significant payroll experience, predominantly in education. She is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) and was awarded CIPP Manager of the Year in 2019. She leads on our accreditation of the CIPP’s much-coveted Payroll Assurance Scheme, proving our commitment to compliance and best practice. Bev focuses on strategic change initiatives which drive efficiency and continuous improvements across our payroll and pension services.
Head of Finance Services
Deborah is a Chartered Accountant, having worked in finance since 2003. Her roles have spanned school business management, internal audit, risk, and leading commercial service delivery teams in the public and private sector. She heads up our finance services team, supporting schools and trusts to manage their finances and resources effectively. Deborah has implemented financial management information systems, the LA’s COVID-19 community testing programme, and the SRMA supplier contract with the DfE. She is herself an SRMA and has supported a wide range of maintained schools and trusts across the country.
Legal Counsel
Rebecca is a solicitor specialising in employment law. She qualified in 2001 and has worked in both private practice and in industry, and even gained practical experience by working in HR for a while. She deals with all aspects of employment law including dismissal, discrimination, redundancy and TUPE. Rebecca delivers training, both internally and to local businesses, and in her spare time she is a trustee for a local MAT where she also chairs the HR committee.
