WHAT WE DO
The one-day interactive training course explores the safer recruitment aspects of hiring new employees, offering best practice and helping to significantly reduce your risk of appointing unsuitable people. The training is in four sections, with a short assessment at the end of each, leading to certification. Since the training is accredited, it also supports your employees’ professional development.
Participants will better understand the need for vigilance, and consider how your school or trust can foster an environment which prevents abuse and challenges inappropriate behaviour. Our trainers belong to a national network of trained and accredited facilitators.
We’ll cover some recurring themes in high-profile professional abuse cases; how child sex abusers operate in organisations; and how it affects recruitment.
We’ll look at how safer recruitment fits with the wider context of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children within schools.
We will explore the importance of planning a recruitment exercise to ensure you’re sending the right messages to potential applicants.
